The Ultimate Guide
- All About Ultra HD The new concealer in makeup is a bit different from other concealers in that it goes beyond covering up blemishes. It can be used to hide dark circles, fine lines, and scars as well.
- Multiple Uses Each purchase of Ultra HD comes with not one but three shades: one for concealing (lightest), one for brightening, and one for highlighting (medium).
- Professional-Level Performance This concealer makeup is paraben-free, which ensures it won’t aggravate your skin or clog your pores. It can last up to 16 hours while providing full coverage every time you use it, thanks to its triple formula of pigments and emollients that allow it to blend seamlessly into your skin when applied correctly.
How to Choose the Right Shade
Choosing the best concealer shade can be tricky, but it’s also important. Your skin tone changes throughout your day—it gets darker when you work out, when you go outside in sunlight or if you're flushing from stress or emotion.
And even under ideal circumstances, our faces are never uniformly one color; we have areas of shadow and light, our skin can be blotchy and uneven, etc. That's why it's so essential to choose a concealer that matches not only your skin tone but also your natural tone—otherwise, it'll look too harsh and make you look older.
If in doubt about which shade is right for you: Choose one shade lighter than your foundation for brightening and use another shade one to two shades darker than your foundation for coverage.
Tips For Application
Be sure to choose the best concealer shade that’s about one or two shades lighter than your natural skin tone. And since blemishes and dark circles can often be hard to cover, you may want to choose one or two shades darker than your complexion for these spots.
If your skin is uneven, you may even want to blend two different shades of concealer for optimal coverage. Then, after making sure that your face is clean and dry (use a moisturizer prior if necessary), apply the product as follows: First, place a small amount on those trouble spots using gentle patting motions, and then cover by brushing upward with a clean blending brush or sponge.
How To Blend Out The Product
Before you’re able to apply a pro concealer, you have to prepare your skin for its application. That means washing and moisturizing your face first so that it doesn’t interfere with how your concealer blends in. Then, take a medium-sized dot of your favorite (or least hated) brand of concealer and pat it onto areas that need coverage.
Make sure not to apply too much at once or else it won’t blend in properly. Using a small best concealer for dark circles, a stiff brush, or a q-tip, gently blend out any harsh lines or streaky spots so that there aren’t any noticeable patches left behind when you’re done applying it.
Common Mistakes When Applying The Product
If you want to make sure that your face is completely covered and flawless, here are a few things you should avoid when applying concealer to dark circles: Use too much product.
Just like cake frosting, if you apply too much product on top of your skin, it will slide off in patches or smudge around your eyes.
A great way to avoid using too much product is by first dotting small amounts under each eye, then blending it out. It might seem like more work, but it’s worth it! Don’t use your finger as an applicator – while they're certainly easier to use than brushes and sponges, fingers have oils and dirt that can easily smear onto your face.
What Ultime Pro HD Concealer does
It conceals, highlights, its full coverage, and has SPF protection too? That's right! Ultime Pro HD dark circle concealer was created with every woman in mind. Whether you want to conceal dark circles, minor imperfections, or redness caused by pimples and acne, this product can do it all. You will instantly see that your skin looks softer, smoother, and more even-toned after application!
1) Provides 24-hour coverage
This long-lasting formula can conceal, correct, and defend against signs of aging. It's also infused with light-diffusing pigments that camouflage imperfections and hide dark circles while still looking natural.
Our award-winning formula is proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines by 70 percent after 8 weeks. This breakthrough concealer stick gives you full coverage without creasing or caking for a flawless finish. Even if you have sensitive skin, it won't irritate your complexion or cause breakouts as other formulas do! Plus, our Ultime Pro Concealer gives you everything from neutral to deep shades to find your perfect shade match!
2) Buildable formula
It doesn’t take a lot of it to work and you don’t have to over apply. It’s also not so thick that it will crease under your eyes or settle into fine lines. If you’re used to applying concealer liquid directly from a bottle, trying for a thin layer might feel weird at first but you’ll get used to it and love how long-lasting it is!
Its creamy liquid concealer texture can be built up quickly and easily by applying more layers when needed. This formula blends beautifully into the skin without settling into fine lines or creating an obvious coverage that screams I have something on my face! The result? Natural-looking coverage with no cakiness or dryness that still lasts all day long.
To ensure you stay looking fresh throughout your busy day, we created our new Super Stay Foundation with patented waterproof technology. Your complexion will stay pure and makeup-free for hours without flaking or smudging - no matter how hot it gets!
*Our promise is: If you wear NARS foundation and concealer with foundation sunscreen in an indoor, air-conditioned setting at 80 degrees Fahrenheit, you will be fine. Sunblock is always a good idea if you are outside when it's hot or if you will sweat heavily. If we do not deliver on our promise please return to any Sephora location and they will help you choose another foundation. **Promise cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts except the NARS Insider Membership discount(not applicable to regular NARS sales associates).
4) Natural matte finish
Many concealers for dry skin on the market claim to offer a matte finish. But if you're dealing with oily skin, you probably know what it's like to apply a matte formula and end up with your face looking even oilier within an hour. Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner is one of our favorite eye glitter formulas for adding sparkle and shine to lids, so we went ahead and formulated our concealer with some of that same glittery goodness—not just for shimmer (although that certainly helps!).
It also helps prevent any unwanted shine on your complexion. This concealer isn't designed to replace foundation or cover every single thing going on in your skin; it's more of a creamy highlighter than anything else.
Many skincare products can be labeled as non-comedogenic full coverage concealer, which means they don’t block pores and are less likely to cause breakouts. However, you may find that you have different experiences with various products. While comedogenic ingredients can vary, oil is more likely to clog your pores than alcohol or a non-greasy moisturizer.
See if a product is non-comedogenic by checking online reviews or asking your dermatologist. If you aren't able to verify a product's claims, it's best to avoid them altogether if you have acne-prone skin.
6) Creates a smooth canvas
The first step to achieving a natural-looking skin tone is to create a smooth concealer shades canvas. While concealer can be used in many ways, its primary purpose is to cover imperfections while ensuring that they are not detectable when you apply your foundation.
The consistency of UltiPro HD Perfecting Coverage Liquid Foundation acts as an adhesive, giving skin a base layer that holds makeup in place for up to 8 hours and forms a velvety finish on application. With its buildable coverage, it can be worn alone or as your last step before foundation for flawless skin that lasts all day long.
7) Highly pigmented (but blends easily)
This concealer dark skin foundation has a smooth, creamy consistency that provides complete coverage with just one pump. It's highly pigmented, but blends out easily and doesn't cling to dry patches or creases in the skin. The stick format also makes it simple to apply evenly and quickly on the go.
This is ideal for those with oily skin who are used to blending liquid foundation with their fingers. However, if you have dry skin, then applying a primer first is advisable before applying concealer as its high coverage will show dry patches if not applied over a layer of moisture.
8) Medium to full coverage
With medium to full coverage concealer waterproof, it blurs imperfections and evens out skin tone. If you're looking for more of a lightweight base, try our Tinted Moisturizer instead.
Unlike many HD concealers that come in a pot, it comes in a tube so there's no mess or product waste. It goes on smoothly with its precision tip applicator that covers hard-to-reach areas like crow's feet or acne scars. Because it is 100% oil-free and fragrance-free, it won't clog pores and absorbs quickly into the skin without being greasy or heavy.
9) Safe for sensitive skin and eyes
Many beauty products contain irritating ingredients that can result in dermatitis or other skin and eye infections. This concealer best brand is safe for sensitive skin and eyes, making it a great option for those who are prone to irritation from common beauty products.
It is made without sodium lauryl sulfate, Diazolidinyl urea, imidazolidinyl urea, triethanolamine, or color additives that often cause problems with sensitive skin. Additionally, there are no parabens or phthalates in its formula. The result is an effective concealer with a soothing formula that's good for those who need special consideration when choosing cosmetics products. It's also gluten-free and vegan-friendly so vegans can enjoy it as well.
10) Skin Types 1-4
This cream, liquid-to-powder concealer corrector formula contains ingredients that are proven to fight visible aging signs like deep wrinkles and expression lines while protecting skin against environmental aggressors.
It provides light to medium buildable coverage without caking or settling into fine lines. Formulated with Quadramine Complex and Echium Oil, it hydrates skin by locking in moisture for up to 24 hours.
Skin appears rejuvenated, firmer, and more luminous while imperfections such as acne scars and sunspots are diminished. SPF 20 protects skin from UVA/UVB rays, leaving it looking radiantly beautiful, year after year. It is suitable for all skin types including sensitive or redness-prone skin.
Why use Ultime Pro HD Concealer
Ultime Pro HD concealer for dusky skin is one of the newest innovations to hit the beauty industry, and for good reason. The concealer was specifically designed to address the needs of women who struggle with age-related skin issues, including wrinkles, dark circles, discoloration, and puffy eyes. If you’re already sold on its effectiveness (and you should be), here are 10 ways to use it in your daily life. Just because you’re covering up your flaws doesn’t mean you have to hide them!
1) Cover dark circles
Dark circles and permanent concealer under your eyes can make you look fatigued and even unhealthy. Cover them up with a good concealer and you'll instantly look more alert and refreshed. The key is to choose one that matches your skin tone, so try several out at home or visit a store makeup artist to help you find just the right shade.
Apply it sparingly with clean fingertips, as too much can make dark circles look worse! Start by applying it where light naturally hits your face, then apply more if needed—concealers are meant to hide imperfections, not highlight them. Get two shades darker than your foundation pro concealer shades color; while they come in light colors as well, most people want a better match for their concealer than their foundation color.
2) Correct uneven skin tone
The more even your concealer and primer skin tone, the better you’ll look. The yellow color in Ultime Pro HD Concealer will work to neutralize any blotchy redness or other discoloration that can make your skin look uneven. It can also cover up dark circles or minor blemishes and age spots that are too light for foundation but still visible to everyone but you.
If it sounds like a lot, don’t worry: a little bit goes a long way with highly pigmented concealers. Only use one drop of product to cover up problem areas—and no one will ever know you’re wearing anything on your face!
3) Use as an eye primer
While using concealer hacks on your eyelids is not a good idea—you’ll end up with smudges that are hard to remove—using it as an eye primer can work. Use a thin layer under your eyes to help smooth out any fine lines and to fill in any dark circles. Then, apply your regular eye makeup over top. You may need to reapply after a few hours, but it will keep color from fading throughout the day.
4) Mix with foundation for fuller coverage
You’re concerned about dark circles and fine lines under your eyes, but don’t want to sacrifice flawless skin everywhere else. Combine our concealer with your daily foundation for natural-looking full coverage. Simply apply a layer of best full coverage concealer foundation to even out skin tone, and finish with a thin layer of concealer on any areas that need extra help. In addition to covering blemishes, the darkness around your eyes will be virtually unnoticeable.
5) Use as a highlighter
Sometimes, you want your concealer for fair skin to do more than conceal. If you need some extra illumination under your eyes, on top of concealing, use a dab of liquid highlighter in that area and tap it onto your skin until blended.
This will give you an all-over glow without looking shiny or greasy. Highlighters are also great for highlighting cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose, along your jawline, and even on top of lipstick to make it pop! The possibilities are endless when it comes to makeup! A little goes a long way so use as much or as little as you want.
6) Blend into powder foundation
When it comes to foundation and concealer eye makeup, blending is key. Most of us apply our foundation with our fingers, but that can lead to harsh lines. Instead, try using a large brush or an angled brush to blend your makeup for a more natural look.
Once you’ve made sure there are no visible lines (or stark contrasts in color), move on to applying concealer where you need it most. For example, if you're applying an under-eye cover-up, try tapping concealer onto your finger and patting it gently under your eyes. And remember: Blending gets easier with practice!
7) Add to BB Cream for more moisture
If you’re looking for more moisture in your foundation, a good product to try is Benefit Cosmetics’ Boi-ing. Just add a few drops of Boi-ing to your favorite BB Cream for an added boost of hydration. The combination will also create better coverage and less streaking than using both products alone.
If you have dry skin, then be sure to moisturize before applying your foundation and a good concealer. Dry skin can lead to a flaky, uneven makeup application that looks terrible in pictures. Use FACES CANADA Moisturizing Lotion to hydrate or mix equal parts glycerin and rose water together in a small container and apply it directly onto your face before applying makeup.
8) Layer over eyeshadow base for extra sparkle
Want a subtle yet brightening effect on your look? Try layering a bit of concealer over your eye shadow. This makes for an excellent base for applying glittery shadows, as it will adhere more easily to the skin. And since you're only using a bit, you won't end up with sparkles all over your face and neck! Note: if using creamier highlighters instead of glittery shadows, apply a small amount under the eyes first.
9) Cover tattoos to match skin tone
If you’re not confident about a tattoo that you recently got, it may be helpful to use a matching concealer to hide it from view. Choose a concealer shade for fair skin that’s lighter than your natural skin tone to blend with your tattoos and cover them up so they match your surrounding skin. Use sunscreen every day: Sunscreen is critical if you want healthy, youthful-looking skin.
UVA and UVB rays cause aging by damaging collagen, which helps keep your skin firm and elastic. Use sunscreen every day when you go outside to slow down these signs of aging before they start—and remember to reapply after being out in strong sunlight for more than one hour!
10) Fill in brows with a lighter shade than hair color
If you have thin brows or spotty patches, use a brow pencil in a concealer shade for dusky skin lighter than your hair color to fill them in. This gives you fuller-looking eyebrows that aren't as distracting as plain bare spots. If you're going for an even more dramatic brow shape, try using something with a powder finish instead of a pencil.
Powder products are easier to blend and they can make light brows appear thicker too, but they take a little longer to do up compared to pencil products. The right product will depend on your natural eyebrow color so pick one that matches it best if you want it to look natural.
How to use Ultime Pro HD Concealer
Use Faces Canada Ultime Pro HD Concealer by first dabbing a tiny bit onto your finger and dabbing it onto dark circles and blemishes. You can also use it under the eyes to brighten up your skin or use it in small areas like around your nose for fine lines.
Ultime Pro HD Faces Canada Concealer Shades makes a great lip concealer, too! It feels light on lips, but will last you through any meal or night out! Apply with fingers or brush to blend; then apply lipstick as usual.
How to choose your perfect shade
With such a wide range of shades available in the market, it may seem like choosing the right concealer shade would be an easy task. It’s not! The fact that the label often says universal doesn’t mean it will match every single skin tone out there. To get you started, I’ve selected 10 perfect shades of Ultime Pro HD Concealer for every skin tone so you can see which one works best with your skin tone. Check them out!
#1. Fair skin
Choose a light shade with blue undertones. Try Fair (A), Warm Ivory (D), or Porcelain (E). These shades are best suited to those with very fair complexions. If you're looking for a good all-over base, try mixing a little bit of Light Neutralizer with your concealer.
#2. Light skin
#605, #705, #810, #915, and #930. If you have very light skin with pink undertones or are trying to conceal a very light scar on your face, Ultime’s Concealer's lightest shades will work wonders.
Don't be intimidated by these numbers; their names make more sense when you see them as peach (peach) yellow (yellow), peachy-pink (pink), peach/pink (peach pink), and pink (white). I've personally used every shade in my arsenal and find that peach yellow and peach/pink can be too bright or dark to conceal my dark under-eye circles.
#3. Olive skin
Olive skin is often creamy, with a yellowish tone. Olive tones suit Asian, Native American, and Mediterranean skin tones.
The best Concealer shades to use are Beige Neutral 20-30, Beige Olive 40-50, and Beige 50-60. Use these shades on blemishes, redness, and undereye circles as they are cool undertones that counter warm pigmentations. They can also be used on people with olive tones to highlight features such as high cheekbones or dark brown eyes because they look natural when applied on light olive skins. #3.
#4. Dark skin
Try No. 10, No. 17, or No. 21 to conceal dark circles around your eyes and breakouts on your cheeks. Try sweeping some powder concealer over a small amount of it to help blend. You can also try using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer (No. 14) under your eyes—it's lightweight enough that it won't cake up or crease in fine lines like other concealers do.
#5. Medium tan
A medium skin tone appears to be tan when viewed up close. Medium-tan shades typically look a bit muddy because they can't show enough variation in the undertone to appear natural. A shade like 100 Sandstone works well on medium skin tones with neutral undertones, but NW45 Warm Dark is better if you're slightly olive-toned.
Tan: If you don't have much pink or red in your skin, you fall into the tan category—which means that no matter how golden and radiant you look after summer vacation, it's not likely to translate into makeup harmony!
#6. Tan brown
This color is best suited for medium skin tones. It is a light tan color that will give a fair-skinned person a natural-looking tan. This shade can also work well on people with darker complexions, but make sure to apply very little Concealer product. The other thing to keep in mind is that you need to set it with powder or else it will start to look too dark and orange. -Ingrid Nilsen
If you have warm-toned skin, but also want a bit of color, then Caramel Brown might be your best bet. It's a natural-looking shade that will work well with both your skin and eye color. If you do end up going for brown or another dark shade to line your eyes, make sure you balance it out with lots of shimmery highlighter on your cheekbones and brow bones to reflect light.
Always go easy on any glitter or other sparkly products to ensure that you don't look over the top. The last thing you want is to end up looking like P. Diddy at an 8th-grade dance!
#8. Honey brown
Honey brown is a great color for light to medium skin tones. It brightens up your face, leaving you with a sun-kissed glow.
The tone also comes in handy if you have redness or rosacea around your nose and cheeks. Honey brown is sometimes combined with other shades to create more intense colors, so it's a great base to start with.
#9. Mocha brown
This is a beautiful brown shade that is going to suit people with medium-dark skin tones. This color will be perfect if you want to add some depth to your face, while also ensuring that you look slightly tan. Vanilla: Vanilla is an ideal choice if you have light skin and are looking for an incredibly natural look.
You might not even know it’s there! This deep, rich hue is created from a combination of coffee and chocolate pigments so it will look gorgeous on people with deeper skin tones and red undertones in their complexion or if they want a deeper contour color than what coffee alone provides. Since it’s a darker color, only use very small amounts as more can start to make things muddy.
#10. Deep dark brown
This deep brown shade is perfect for medium to dark complexions. It's a little harsh on very fair skin tones but can be blended to perfection with a powder foundation or makeup sponge. On darker skin tones, it won't look like you have many colors on at all, just seamless coverage. Just be sure to watch out if you're using SPF Concealer because it can get into your eyes easier with darker shades and cause some stinging. If that's not something you deal with often, though, go ahead and use it!
How to properly apply Ultime Pro HD Concealer
Pat, don’t rub! Ultime Pro HD Concealer is so blendable, that you may be tempted to use your fingers or a brush right away. But resist! Start by patting it into your skin in quick circular motions, then lightly buff out any areas that need it until everything looks nice and smooth. The result will be less coverage—but for many people, that's exactly what they want when wearing makeup. After all, less can often mean more when it comes to making yourself feel natural and unencumbered throughout your day.
Where to apply Ultime Pro HD Concealer
Apply it under your eyes, around your nose and chin, on any blemishes or imperfections, or anywhere else you might need a little extra coverage. And for those of you wondering about color—Ultime Pro is available in shades of Light, Medium, Dark and Deep. Its formula has been specially created so that regardless of your skin tone or shade, its pigments will blend easily into your skin.
When in the makeup routine should you apply Ultime Pro HD Concealer?
It is best to apply your concealer after you have applied your Concealer foundation and powder. Although you may use an oil-based product on top of it, it is recommended that you follow up by applying a moisturizer. You can do so before or after putting on your foundation and/or powder depending on what works best for you. Applying first thing in the morning and adding additional layers as needed throughout that day will ensure a smooth base from start to finish.
How to blend Ultime Pro HD Concealer properly
Instead of starting in one place and working your way out, start small. Using your finger, apply a tiny bit of product (or less than you think) directly onto the undereye area—it’s okay if it looks like there isn't enough; you can always add more later! If you go too far and need to add more coverage, blend it in afterward. For those who prefer a brush, tap foundation into the skin lightly instead of sweeping it on.
How to set Ultime Pro HD Concealer with powder
Properly setting your foundation and concealer is an often overlooked, but crucial step in achieving a flawless makeup application. To set your makeup, you'll want to use a powder puff or brush (depending on what kind of coverage you prefer). Apply the product over your entire face. You can apply additional layers until you see that you have achieved even coverage. This will help minimize any unwanted shine and keep your base locked in place throughout the day.
Ultime Pro HD Concealer tips and tricks
The easiest way to make sure your skin looks flawless is by using a good concealer. To do that, you’ll need a great brush. Instead of using your fingers or a sponge, use an expert-quality applicator like Sephora Collection Retractable Blending Brush #51 ( $12 ). Apply in little dots around any blemishes or under-eye circles and blend immediately for smooth, even coverage.
Ultime Pro HD Concealer guide for beginners
If you want to make your eyes stand out, start by concealing them properly. Begin by using your ring finger to tap a small amount of Ultime Pro HD Concealer into your skin, using gentle patting motions around and under each eye. Take extra care when blending, since dark circles can be difficult to cover up without smudging or creasing. Use a circular motion starting from the center of the face and working outwards.
Ultime Pro HD Concealer hacks
Once you have found your ideal shade of foundation and concealer, you can begin highlighting and contouring. Using a brush, place the product under cheekbones, nose bridge, jawline, and temples for instant definition. Then blend by sweeping horizontally across your face towards your hairline and continuing up towards your forehead.
How to properly remove Ultime Pro HD Concealer
Properly removing your makeup is as important as applying it. To ensure you're taking every trace of makeup off your face, we recommend using cleansing oil or balm followed by a gentle cleanser and water. Proper removal and makeup prep will ensure that you don't wake up in the morning with puffy eyes from leftover products on your skin.
How do I find my shade?
There are a few ways you can determine which shade is best for you. The first is, of course, trial and error. If you’re in FACES CANADA, your color consultant will gladly help you find your match or suggest options that may be a better fit.
Will it hide my acne marks?
This foundation is designed for covering up blemishes and, yes, it will work well for covering them. How well will depend on how large and dark your acne marks are. What you're looking for is a product that's both creamy enough to cover without creasing and also buildable so that you can go heavier in areas if necessary.
With most of these products, you'll want to use a sponge-like Sephora Collection's The One Perfecting Brush #56 or Complexion Sponge ($19) to start applying and then blend out. Some people prefer brushes; others don't like how they streak because they're absorbent (though they do leave a nice finish). Play around and see what works best for you!
Can I use it on my eyelids to prep for eye shadow?
The short answer is yes, but you must be careful. The skin around your eyes is thin and delicate, so using a brush as gentle as a makeup blender directly on your lids can irritate you if you're not careful.
In general, I'd recommend using an eye cream or moisturizer around your eyes before applying any product—particularly something like foundation or concealer, which tends to have heavier textures that can be harder for some skin types to handle. You'll also want to take care when applying anything around your eye area so you don't overdo it. Use a light hand and dab in small circles rather than rubbing back and forth in larger strokes; that way you can more easily blend out edges later if needed.
Is it safe for pregnant women?
Yes, it is safe for pregnant women. This concealer product does not have any harmful ingredients that can affect you or your baby in any way. When used as instructed, there is nothing to worry about. This product contains an optimal blend of ingredients that are formulated specifically for your skin and will help you achieve smooth and beautiful skin without getting hurt or harming your baby in any way.
