Easy Summer Skincare Routine for Hydrated Skin

Welcome to our summer skincare routine special edition on World Water Day!

We all know that skincare for oily skin and dry skin is totally different. But one important thing is still common between skincare for dry skin and oily skin – water. And what better day to talk about hydration than today? But before you close the tab thinking “This whole post must be just about drinking water all day”, let us tell you, it’s not.

We have created a complete skincare routine to keep your skin hydrated this summer — so that you have bright, firm, and youthful skin irrespective of your skin type — and it’s not just drinking 8 glasses of water every day.😎

Of course, it’s common to get dehydration in summer. But, we can at least save your skin from getting dehydrated with an easy summer skincare routine. Go ahead and read, and maybe screenshot for reference, because hydration is the most important part of skincare at home.

#1 Obviously — Drink more water

Nothing can top hydration from within. Listen to your body. Everyone has different requirements.

#2 Use a Hydrating Moisturizer

Use a lightweight, non-sticky, oil-free formula that doesn’t clog your pores. Use a gel-based moisturizer if you have oily skin.

#3 Regular Exfoliation Is Key

To remove dead skin & impurities so that your skin can soak up the hydration from serums and moisturizers.

#4 Use an Effective Sunscreen

It will protect your skin from UV radiation which dehydrates skin, so super-important in summer! Make sure you choose the sunscreen according to your skin type though.

#5 Use Serums to Boost Hydration

Serums that have hydrating ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid serums, Vitamin C serums, etc.

#6 Use a Gentle Cleanser

Cleanse face twice but gently. Don’t strip your skin of every last bit of moisture, just because it looks oily.

#7 Make your Makeup Sweatproof

Use a lightweight loose powder and makeup fixer to mattify and keep your makeup intact for longer.

#8 Don’t Ignore the Lips Even During Summer

Lips are sensitive and get dehydrated even before the rest of your face during summer. Drink enough water and use a good lip balm or lip moisturizer.
